Get Rid of Your Crow’s Feet with These Treatments

Anti Aging Treatments in Norwich, CTIs your face starting to show signs of aging? As you age, your skin undergoes gradual changes. Some parts of the face are more susceptible to the signs of aging than others, particularly the delicate eye area.

Crow’s feet are those little lines spreading from the corners of your eyes. These lines develop over time because of repeated muscle contractions that happen every time you make a facial expression.

If you think that it’s time to turn back the clock and address those crow’s feet, you have options. The anti-aging treatments that you select will depend upon the severity of your crow’s feet. In some cases, you may want to try a combination of treatments.

Topical Creams

Topical creams like Retin-A and anti-aging moisturizers can help fight the signs of aging. They may help to reduce the appearance of fine lines around the eyes, but they will not improve deep crow’s feet.

Botox®

The most effective treatment for crow’s feet is Botox®. It is a muscle relaxer made from bacteria. It works by relaxing the muscles that contract and deepen wrinkles. It temporarily freezes the facial muscles, causing the wrinkles to smooth over. The result is a firmer, younger-looking appearance.

Botox® is best used in the upper part of the face. It decreases wrinkles in the forehead and around the eyes, including deep crow’s feet. Botox® will not keep you from making facial expressions. It will only target the muscles around the eyes that are causing the crow’s feet.

Botox® injections are approved for patients 18 years of age and older. The result of a Botox® injection can last three to four months. Then you’ll need additional treatments if you want to maintain your results. The more often you get Botox®, the less of it you will need to achieve the same result. That’s because your muscles will respond for longer periods of time as the product is used more frequently. So over time, you will need less Botox® to smooth out wrinkles.
