Our Kybella® Treatment Plan
Kybella® injections take approximately15 to 20 minutes to complete. Prior to the procedure, a numbing cream will be applied to the problem area to prevent pain and ensure you are comfortable during the treatment. There may be some heat after the numbing cream wears off following the procedure, but ice packs and fans are efficient relief options.
Minor swelling and bruising after the procedure are to be expected, but all side effects will go down, although the recovery time depends on the patient. Often, patients will schedule their Kybella® treatments during the colder times of the year so that they can easily wear scarves or turtlenecks to keep their necks covered and protected.
There are no scars after Kybella® treatment, and the results of this non-invasive surgery can be enjoyed within a month of your treatment. During your visit, the doctor will discuss with you whether or not it is recommended to return for alternative treatments. Some patients have multiple treatments of Kybella® within a certain duration to maximize the results to their face.
